Scouting has its levels of organisation, in the form of Counties which contain Districts, which themselves contain Groups. National groups of Scouting also exist, not bound to any specific region.

Explorer Scouts is one of the new sections to be introduced in the 2002 reorganisation of the UK Scout movement. It is for children aged between 14 and 18 years old.

Scouting groups that have two or more of the scouting sections, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Venture Scouts.

Scouting for youth age 11 to 14.

Scouting for youth age 15 to 21 years old. This section has now been largely replaced by Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network.
